SPR is pleased to announce the 2024 winners of the Early Career Award, Dr. Sebastian Schindler and Dr. Daniel Bradford, for their noteworthy contributions to the field of psychophysiology!
Very happy to see our new paper out in @NeuroImage_EiC: In a novel attentional blink paradigm with trial-by-trial awareness reports but uncertain target relevance, conscious perception enhanced early negativities (VAN) but not late positivities (P3b). https://t.co/Ahjvan7UTy
Looking forward to giving a talk about neural correlates of consciousness at the AFC Lab @unil@worldwideneuro this Wednesday. Many thanks to @MeikeRamon for the invitation!
New paper out with @hugh_rab & David Carmel in Behav Brain Res. We review the Breaking CFS (bCFS) method for studying face processing and consciousness. If you use CFS, study face/object processing & unconscious processing, you want to read/cite this 😊🧵 https://t.co/Qv1zx4cdTi
We could show that the predominant mechanism behind the visual MMN did vary depending on task settings: Unaware and task-irrelevant conditions did rely mostly on adaptation and the task-relevant condition did mostly rely on prediction-error activity.
Excited to share that our paper on neurocomputational mechanisms of mismatch generation has been accepted @NeuroImage_EiC ! Thanks to Felix Lucka, @AntjeP_@BruchmannMax, and Thomas Straube for the great teamwork! https://t.co/IG9XUh0A5W
Very grateful for the feedback on my talk @assc25@theassc about isolating NCC from post-perceptual confounds in the attentional blink. While this study is currently under review, you may also be interested in our recent related visual EEG-fMRI and auditory EEG studies:
@assc25@theASSC@realTimoStein@mazormatan@MmeJeanserre ...my talk "Neural correlates of consciousness in an attentional blink paradigm with uncertain target relevance" in "Concurrent talks 6" on Thursday at 5 p.m. (spoiler alert: VAN but no LP)
For those interested in contributions of prediction error and adaptation to auditory deviance responses in different brain regions: Check out our new paper published in NeuroImage: https://t.co/wdiUhalboJ
Über die Rolle von Role Models und die Bedeutung der sachlichen Diskussion in der Wissenschaft habe ich im Interview gesprochen. @BusinessPunkMag #WomenInScience#Physics#neuroscience https://t.co/bhH6xS50eZ
Excited to share our new paper in #JNeurosci@SfNJournals. Using simultaneous EEG-fMRI, we show that conscious face perception is predominantly linked to early processing in occipitotemporal brain areas, but may additionally involve the prefrontal cortex. https://t.co/lpjoHQBl3h
