DEV Trading Strategy — Checklist

👀 Analyze the DEV’s Wallet

📊 Previous Launch Stats:
• Analyze the charts (they should look organic, with strong volume at launch);
• Average market cap of the tokens;
• Check for any rug pull tokens;
• How many launches came from the wallet.

✏️ Study the DEV’s “Signature” (Find the Patterns):
• Launch timing;
• Buyback and selling strategy;
• Token branding + attached links;
• Narrative;
• Buyback wallets.

⚠️ Analyze the Current Token

⚡️ Analyze the Narrative — does it align with the current meta?

✔️ Key Metrics to Check:
• Study the ticker (the name should make sense);
• How strong is the initial volume;
• Is it an Anti-Snipe token or not;
• Token branding (are there social media links?);
• Is it a copy of a previous successful launch?
• Total Fees;
• Holder distribution (no more than 3–4% in a single wallet).

• Buy the dip (−40–60% from ATH) after the DEV Sell;

• The best entry is often the first correction after the snipers exit;
• If a sniper holds 10% of the supply, it’s better to wait until they exit;
• You can average in and buy the dip in multiple entries;
• Buy below 10–15K MCap (the lower the MCap, the better);
• Take Profit — 1.5–3x.

Consider the Market Conditions

The exact same strategy can perform completely differently depending on the current market phase.

When liquidity is high:

more volume → more attention → more runners → more opportunities.

When liquidity is low:

less volume → fewer buyers → fewer strong moves.

That’s why you can’t look at the DEV alone.

You also need to look at the overall market.

If nothing is flying today — it may be better to reduce your activity.

Always Check the History Manually.

This is absolutely critical.

Let’s say your filter shows: 2/4 migrations

At first glance — looks great.

But then you open the history and see:

Launch #1 — weak
Launch #2 — barely any trading activity
Launch #3 — small pump
Launch #4 — decent launch

On paper, the stats look good.
But in reality, this may be far from the type of DEV we’re looking for.

So:

Filters find the candidates.
The DEV’s history makes the decision.

Don’t Forget About Total Fees

Another metric worth paying attention to is Total Fees.

A strong, organic token will usually have a high level of trading activity.

If you’re looking at a “millionaire DEV,” but the token has only a handful of Total Fees, that’s a reason to be cautious.

The MC may look impressive on the chart, but there may have been very little real activity behind it.

So: MC + chart + Total Fees + volume — should always be considered together.
