@TheoManBabies@thedailybeast That's just a generic, standard form letter, that provides no useful info. Why would she even post it? All it's doing is bringing out the haters and white nationalists.
@HwsEleutheroi Oh, amen to this! Not sure what is wrong with people, but yes, defendants have rights and people are presumed innocent until proven guilty. We don't just form angry mobs and empower them to make snap judgments. Sheesh.
@EliotBeacon At best she shared a generic form letter from ICE that provides us no useful facts. The only purpose posting it seems to serve is to rile up a bunch of white nationalists and other assorted lunkheads, and try to dissuade people from supporting Sey.
@DrSuneelDhand LOL! I've been married for a long time, but when COVID hit we were both concerned about telling the other we weren't going to comply. It was a huge relief to discover we were both on the same page.
@ostrachan "The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him." Sey has a lawyer and he gets a hearing. People are claiming he's guilty based on a letter posted by Megan, we don't even know is real. Regardless, it is just a form letter, not a legal ruling
@TomBuck People don't seem to realize that we have an entire legal process, hearings, evidence, and we don't just condemn people based on an alleged letter Megan claims to have received.
@landjax He still gets a lawyer and a hearing! What is wrong with people who just want to bypass the entire legal system? We don't even know if that ICE form letter from Megan is real! Let his lawyer speak, let the system do it's job.
@elimcgowan Yes. Also, that's just an ICE form letter, it's not truth, facts, or a judge's ruling. People need to be patient, wait until his lawyer releases a statement, likely as soon as tomorrow.
@elimcgowan I don't necessarily trust Megan Basham and that just looks like a standard ICE form letter. Regardless, there are always two sides to every story, that's why people have lawyers and are granted a hearing.
@xQwirk Oh yes, I hate it. It's mandatory in my state. To make matters worse, we often automatically register people to vote, sometimes without them even being aware of it.
