After a full school year of designing and building custom electric go-karts, students on FPL-sponsored Electrathon teams brought their STEM skills to the track at Homestead-Miami Speedway. 🏁⚡

For perspective, FPL works to ensure all vegetation management work is conducted responsibly and in strict compliance with state and federal regulations. The product being used is an industry-accepted herbicide, approved for use in this setting, intended solely to control vegetation growth, and is not considered harmful to animals.

@valerieshousefl provides children and families with a place to feel supported, connected, and less alone during times of grief. During Mental Health Awareness Month, their work serves as an important reminder of the impact compassionate care can have on people’s lives.

Valerie’s House partnered with FPL to explore ways to reduce energy use and better manage costs. Through FPL’s free Business Energy Evaluation, Energy Expert Rafael conducted an on-site assessment and shared recommendations tailored to the organization’s building and energy needs, including solutions for an upstairs area that had become difficult to use during warmer weather.

The result is a more comfortable space and monthly savings that allow Valerie’s House to direct more funding toward the families who rely on its services.
