Here we see visitors playing Proton Football at #CERNScienceGateway.

During the game, visitors mimic being inside a particle accelerator. By playing football using protons (the red bubble), the two players can create collisions like those made by the #LHC at the four large LHC experiments – @ATLASexperiment , @CMSExperiment @ALICEexperiment, and @LHCbExperiment.

When the two protons collide, they create new particles, represented by the multicoloured lines. If the players are successful, they might even find a #HiggsBoson.
