Saving money is wonderful. But investing for your future is CRUCIAL.
There is no way you can save enough money to sustain you when you retire. You HAVE to invest it.
We had a choice to make.
Choice A: Pay our financial advisor $230,000 in fees over the next 35 years.
Choice B: Manage our own investments and pay $11,000 in fees over the next 35 years.
Guess what we chose.
We hired a financial advisor years ago.
We thought he would "teach" us how to invest.
Guess what...he didn't.
Instead, he charged us a 1% fee which could have cost us over $230,000 by the time we would retire.

This past weekend I booked a trip that I’m so excited about (details to come next month).
After booking everything, I sat back and remembered that I’d rather collect EXPERIENCES rather than stuff.
This is exactly what budgeting allows me to do.
I’m no longer weighed down by debt payments.
I’m no longer tempted to buy everything I want.
I’m able to prioritize what I want the MOST! ❤️
Four money lies to STOP believing:
1️⃣ I’ll never get out of debt.
2️⃣ I’ll budget when I have more money.
3️⃣ I don’t need to budget because I make enough money.
4️⃣ Investing is for rich people.
@DineroPodcast Having kids forces me to have more of a schedule. I typically do 5 hours of focused work Monday-Thursday and then 2-4 hours focused work on Fridays. My goal for 2023 is to take Fridays completely off!

Took my kids back to school shopping.
My youngest son wanted to “splurge” on a 75 cent pencil sharpener and a pack of index cards for 99 cents.
My oldest son wanted AirPods.
Which one are you?
Old Me: Spent money unplanned while on vacation. My motto: I'll deal with it later.
New Me: Give myself a spending allowance on vacation. My motto: I'll plan for it in advance.
