👀Look to the west tonight, Saturday the 18th of Jan after sunset to see a beautiful conjunction of Saturn and Venus 🪐🌟
They’ll be just over 2 degrees apart as they do their cosmic dance.
This photo I took on the 16th when they were nearly 3 degrees apart.
Clear skies ✨

This is a still image from a time lapse video I did at the Ribblehead Viaduct in the Yorkshire Dales, North England. The viaduct sits below Whernside - one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
That's Venus setting at bottom left between the arches !
Enjoy the view ✨
@WWTMartinMere Is it possible to walk into Martin Mere after closing time during the evening. As it’s quite a dark area, I’d like to take images and time lapses of the night sky over the lakes🌌
Look east early evening to spot Jupiter 🌟
With binoculars (10x50 or 8x42), you can actually see its 4 largest moons: Io, Europa, Ganymede & Callisto. Use a tripod or rest your arms on something to keep steady.
Don’t miss this celestial treat! ✨🔭

If the UK weather finally gives us a break
Look west after sunset on Wednesday the 10th of April 2024, as the one day old Moon joins Jupiter in a beautiful pairing ✨🌙

🌌 WOW !! The most detailed image ever of the Andromeda Galaxy 2.5 million light years away
Captured by the Hubble Space Telescope every single dot is a star… a sun, with probably a large amount of them with their own solar systems of orbiting planets #Astronomy#space#Hubble
🌠 Don't miss the Geminids meteor shower peak on Dec 14/15 Thurs/Fri
Radiant Gemini, potentially 100 meteors/hour in dark sky. Unique as they come from an asteroid. Moon won't interfere - dark sky, bright meteors!
Look East/SouthEast on Dec 14, no telescope needed. #Geminids
✨🌙 Get your cameras ready for a beautiful conjunction of the crescent Moon & Venus on Sat Dec 9th
Okay, not quite the closest at 4-5 degrees apart, but will still be a lovely sight

🌙🪐 Don't miss the cosmic spectacle on Nov 9th! See Venus and the crescent Moon in a breathtaking close conjunction before sunrise. 🪐🌙
🔭 No telescope needed, just look up !
🌟 Venus and the Moon will be less than 1 degree apart 🌄 Best viewing between 5-7 am UK (GMT)
Look up tonight for a chance to see Orionid meteors. The shower runs from 2nd Oct - 7th Nov but peaks between 21st/22nd October.
They can have long trails, look anywhere in sky but they’ll seem to originate from the radiant point to the left of Orion.
Clear skies ✨🙂
