Might have to watch Yellow Submarine for the 845 bazillionth time too
I also still haven't seen Spinal Tap II or the MCU Fantastic Four film, shall get those soon
I've never seen Monsters Inc, but was listening to the @goonshowpod episode about the Beatles Yellow Submarine movie this morning and they mention it briefly, so I think I have to watch it now :)
Hatters win but miss the playoffs. Oh well.
Playoffs are too stressful anyway! Like a penalty shootout that lasts three weeks. Also we hardly ever win them.
We've not really been good enough for most of the season, hopefully the recent improvement in form continues next season.
Right, so, your protagonist can’t have problematic traits, because that’s endorsing them, and your antagonist can’t have problematic traits, because the reader could be upset by their views or behaviour, and your book can’t contain hardship, tragedy, or conflict because it could be alluding to something in real life and cause offence. So that leaves us with…what? The Very Hungry Caterpillar?
Mansfield away this afternoon, a bit of a bogey team and we've been poor away this season. On the other hand we've been playing quite a bit better lately. Playoffs now look attainable.
April Fool's Day plan:
1. Watch a few comedy favourites
2. It's @TrevorNeal b'day, so watch some clips of Trev and Simon's Going Live/Live and Kicking sketches, also listen to a bit of that podcast they used to do
3. Play some songs from the silly/weird songs playlist
On the other hand, I may keep my account active and drop in now and again :)
Latest song discovery: Frantic Romantic by Scientists, the lyrics may seem slightly cheesy but the guitars are awesome https://t.co/g4dn4S8Wxd
Hey Twitterverse, long time no see. I may delete this account soon, as I rarely use it anymore and interaction on here has been zero for ages. So unless I get some replies saying "noooo don't go Rich we love you!" it will be adios Twitter, it's been fun
Amazon currently has Pete Shotton's biography of John Lennon, which I've been trying to get for years, for £15. It's previously only been available at higher and rather ridiculous prices. There's only 1 left in stock. So that's what I shall be using my £20 gift voucher for 😃
Pub at lunchtime with fam. Got back home, bit of pottering about, watched an episode of WILTY, beer-induced nap. Had tea. Listened to a bit of Night Circus audiobook and a nostalgia podcast. Bit of Doctor Who next, then some more music.
Sunday doings:
Got up at 9:30am, sausage sandwich for breakfast. Quick music session - George Harrison, MC5, Oasis, Supergrass, Soul II Soul, the usual ecleic mix :) watched a bit more Gravity Falls (getting more into it now) and Owl House.
Watched another Gravity Falls and I think I get it now. I found Mabel a bit annoying at first but she's growing on me :) The show is sillier than I was expecting but silly is fun 😊
However I'm only seven episodes into season one, so I'm going to keep trying. I really liked The Inconveniencing, but hated The Hand That Rocked The Mable (all that "widdle ole me" crap, baby talk humour is NOT funny, it's embarrassing)
On to s2e2 of The Owl House, halfway through already, I don't want it to end - stupid Disney! Love all the main characters except Boscha and Skara, not too keen on the Blight twins either (but maybe they get less annoying). Emperor Belos, more like Emperor Bell End, right?
