Our team met with visitors from Plant & Food Research, a New Zealand government owned agriculture, fishing and horticulture focused research institute yesterday to share key lessons, highlight opportunities and challenges for rural development and investment in Papua New Guinea.
The need for #partnership has never been greater. INA is keen to work with @CIPEglobal through its PNG office on ongoing programs to enable peer-to-peer knowledge sharing & lessons learned on digital governance & ICT investment monitoring.

In Papua New Guinea, a major global source for vanilla, FAO with funding from the European Union is mainstreaming gender and youth participation in the vanilla value chain. Women leadership is improving livelihoods by making the value chain more inclusive and profitable.

Late Sheldon Weeks. The passing of Sheldon Weeks, at the age of 90; a highly focused former education researcher & director of PNG's Educational Research Unit, which later fused into IASER, now NRI. He played a valuable role in pursuing education development and standards in PNG.

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of the late Ron Ganarafo, just before polling commences in the seat he once held, when he was the Fisheries Minister in the late 90s/early 2000s.

It also undermines the authority of the ensuing government that comes to office, the Parliament and other State institutions. PNG needs to restore the integrity, capacity and public confidence in Its institutions, to be working in the best interests of the people of this country.
PNGNGE and Credibility of Outcomes and Government Institutions. A credible election outcome comes from a free and fair election; election fraud, whether by candidates, officials, voters, whether caught or achieved, undermines the credibility and legitimacy of the whole process.
