@Excellentsalvic 15% used to be the minimum. 20% should be the maximum unless you go above and beyond. The current tipping culture was rigged by big tech through POS machines. Its how they justify criminally low wages.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@Marineforever12 @ThatKnightMann @UgoCannon Compare Matthew 5:19, which you quoted, to Matthew 7:19 to where he effectively declares all food clean. It's confusing. My best guess is he cared more about the spirit.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@Marineforever12 @ThatKnightMann @UgoCannon I think we agree Jesus affirmed the core moral principles of Mosaic Law. But he demanded substance. He was a walking contradiction and repeatedly broke laws he thought were stupid. Healing people on the Sabbath for example.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@Marineforever12 @ThatKnightMann @UgoCannon The Jewish followers under James may have agreed with you. They probably thought Paul was converting gentiles to their new version of Judeasm. He obviously went off script. The only account we have of Jesus though is the Gospels, and he emphisized the spirit.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@bulkeley_john @MarioNawfal @bmayo153 It's called civil unrest. It has nothing to do with revolutionary ideas. It's the natural bi-product of shit for brained policies. Stop trying to make it fit your narrative.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@Marineforever12 @ThatKnightMann @UgoCannon *By their fruits you will recognize them" (Matthew 7:16).

His main beef with the Pharisees was that they followed the letter, and made life miserable for their own people, and bared little fruit.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@Marineforever12 @ThatKnightMann @UgoCannon Works alone weren't enough if they didn't come from a place of mercy and compassion. It was far more than following every rule of Mosaic Law.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@Marineforever12 @ThatKnightMann @UgoCannon He did not mean the letter. He emphasizeed the spirit, which is where fundamentalists who act like Pharisees fail. On the other end there are Christians who think you only need faith.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@oliverburdick Rather than following Jesus, the Church uses Him to justify following Mosaic Law or Paul. It's shameful how little it emphasizes His actual teachings. That leads to rigidity or faith without works. The two things He came to save us from.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@oliverburdick It's time to stop blaming others, and take the rafter out of your own eye. There are massive problems with the Churches messaging and doctrine.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@mary_got_grace Today's Christians use Jesus to justify following Moses or Paul. They choose one or the other based on the political narrative. Example: emphasizing the Ten Commandments instead of Beatitudes. Or Romans 3:28 instead of Matthew 7:24.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@Marineforever12 @ThatKnightMann @UgoCannon Jesus affirmed the law. But also emphasized the spirit while criticizing the legal nitpicking of the Pharisees. Jesus summed up the law in Matthew 22:37-40

@Trap_12G @ITSFIGHTNIGHT13 People need to keep their dogs on a leash. I witnessed an unleashed small dog at a park attack a leashed pit. The pit followed his instincts and tore the little dog to pieces. It was hard to see, but the owners of the small dog were irresponsible.

@Jenny1708FL All 20. I also used to deliver pizzas with a Thomas Guide.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@Ashleyhays2089 I'll say the quiet part out loud. Paul/Saul was an enemy of Christ and he contradicted Him. However, bcause gentiles conflated Paul's word with Christ's we're told to follow him. Why? Because it gives Pauline Christians the authority to alter Christs message.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

The biggest hindernce to understanding Jesus is the claim of his divinity. The claim provides theological cover for contradictions that wouldn't survive honest scrutiny if Jesus were simply understood as a human ethical teacher.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@thomaslhorrocks Unless the reader wants to be Christlike they won't be able discern between the two. Horrible things can be justified with scripture because they reveal the reader before they reveal God.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@KeenanMiller7 @MateyYanakiev I'm a follower of Jesus, not a Christian. Christians today are ashamed of the words he spoke when he was living. "Blessed are the merciful — for they will be shown mercy" And he said "whoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven"

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@KeenanMiller7 @MateyYanakiev I would agree with that.

[The Five Initiations @Integrated198]

@KeenanMiller7 @MateyYanakiev I think Jesus freed us from a law that was unforgiving because forgiveness is the way to stop living in the past.
