So if you realize you should be taking supplements to replenish where modern food has been robbed of crucial nutrients, why aren't you taking them?

We must learn to be careful with platforms like this. They are designed to sink you into them. Set time limits and be intentional with what you come here looking for. Do not fall prey to these time vampires. -From a man no better than you at this.
Our church just did a 7 week tutorial on using it, and an anonymous donor gifted each person a year of premium. Logos has a lot of tutorial videos. It has a ton of tools, but it can be hard to navigate to the right thing you are needing. For example, there are different workflows to choose from based on if you’re doing exegesis, devotional, an inductive study, and more. Ask yourself what you’re purpose of using it is, and then look for tutorials how to do that.
Heavy social media use makes people meaner and more cynical over time. People get detached from their humanity and forget they're engaging with other humans. They start doing and saying stuff they wouldn't in real life.
I've observed this anecdotally over two decades. It's one reason why I take a day off every week.
For me I wouldn't be eating some of the nutrients otherwise.
He is my morning shake and the order I add them:
1- oats and flax seed ground to powder
2- protein powder (I like unflavored Hydrobeef)
3- frozen berry mix (like to always have blueberry and blackberry in the mix)
4- peanut butter or a nut butter
5- half a banana
6- 1-2 raw eggs
7- grassfed milk
Having the berries frozen means not having to add ice when blending.
Whether you are a pastor, plumber, or paramedic, you have been placed in your position divinely. We have lost the Reformation thought that brought down the divide between clergy doing godly work and the laymen who did lesser work. All work, that is lawful to do, that serves a purpose for the greater good, and is done to the glory of God, is spiritual and godly work. Are you pouring your whole effort into this work? Or is it “just a job” to you? Not every thing that we are called to will be grand and in receive accolades.
Having clearly defined spaces can help you focus. It is all a mental thing. The reason you focus better at the coffee shop or library is not because of the background noise, but because it puts you in the right headspace.1 You have gone there with intention, to get work done. You can do the same at home by creating defined roles for the areas of your house.
One thing we are really bad about in our society is proper rest. Being on the couch doom scrolling or watching Netflix is not real rest. When do you ever just put it down and enjoy the scenery outside or just being in the room together with your family? Do you find it hard to be alone with your own thoughts? Do you have a reflex to always be listening to a podcast or audio book while working around the house or at your job? Perhaps our most creative moments happen in the shower nowadays because this is the only time we don’t have something flooding our mind with ideas. Rather, in the shower your mind can create its own ideas instead of the voice of others.
Try and make a habit of intentionally unplugging and resting. Take a walk around the neighborhood without your phone. When you reflexively go to grab it and check a notification, it is not there and your still 10 minutes away from getting to it. Your world will not end if someone can’t get a hold of you for 20 minutes. Most of us can still remember a time before being forever tied to a phone.
As moderns we have become very good at keeping ourselves busy; yet, somehow not getting enough done. We get burned out and enter a cycle of “working” without accomplishment. Perhaps taking an intentional break will allow you to focus more on your work. This down regulation will help your mind to process the information it is receiving. I know myself that I can listen to podcasts all day long and think I am learning but in reality if I moderated more I’d be able to retain much more. Like a cow chewing cud, we need to slowly chew the information.

I always thought it was the "hippy disease" that weird people secretly wanted to have. Then I realized I had been unable to tolerate it for a long time when it became too obvious to ignore. I cut gluten, my inflammation got better, and my bowel issues started resolving. Interestingly my symptoms got noticeably worse after I got COVID which made me realize it was an issue.
@paulsaladinomd Nicotine does have benefits, some research still needs to be done however. It raises testosterone, but seems mostly associated with smoking rather than pure nicotine pouches. Smoking has its own health concerns. Creatine is great though, and I recommend it.
@ZubyMusic We have lost our sense of duty. Duty to family, our neighbors, our towns, our nations. When you have lost the ties that hold social fabric together it is no wonder why people don't feel they have any obligations.
@JimBlanton01 I first really grew in the faith reading the HCSB (forerunner to the CSB). Currently reading in the NKJV. Here are my top 5 translations.
