Tbh I am curious about the performance as well. Will it still be the same as before? Cause I always thought that bun vs deno is zig vs rust and bun is faster because it uses zig.

@0x0wenn But I believe the unsafe calls can be reduced by a lots. At least for now they have to check those unsafe parts only if there’s any memory problem, whereas in zig, everything is technically unsafe

@0x0wenn The comparison is not apple to apple. The first one is package manager, the other is a javascript runtime. For a javascript runtime, its totally understandable to have a lot of unsafe calls because it needs to call many low-level functions.

It’s pretty crazy to see how software development is changing nowadays because of AI. But I think it was only possible in the first place because Jarred had the technical skills to guide the AI.

First try cooking steak and it was awful. I thought it’s gonna be easy. I put too much salt and I should’ve thawed the steak out of the vacuum package cause it made the steak not dry enough thus no crust. It was fun though, maybe I’ll cook myself a steak every weekend.
