@Ledger so sophisticated scammers emptied my ledger and called me to gloat. They got 80% of my holdings.
All I want to know is, is the hole plugged? Since I had multiple wallets I didn't lose everything. But as I set up my ledger anew, should I?
@krakenfx Seriously? Kraken locks me out all of a sudden when I've been logged in for months? And won't take my ID?
All of this after my #ledger was hacked without being connected or unlocked.
@DannyAggy I work in IT. What's perplexing is that if they had access to my system or my google account that shouldn't have affected my ledger. Kraken and Binance survived the attack. Ledger and Coinbase didn't.
@DannyAggy When I asked him how he did it he said he hacked the blockchain. I asked AI what the odds were of something like this occurring. Because it's supposed to be impossible.
@DannyAggy The hacker gloated and told me he'd transfered the funds to his own wallet. Then said he'd give back half if I guessed a number between one and ten. I played along and the call ended 650-535-2709 from both callers. The number is dead now.
I got a call about a google hack. They asked me to verify if I had change my google password. I did using verification on the phone. Once the password to google was changed I got another call back from a manager who asked me to verify if I had a ledger.
When I pulled up the ledger software, it was empty. I didn't have the device connected or open.
