@luxrnes @RupertLowe10 Sesible and moderate. Taxation is essential to a functioning society, yet it should never push people below a reasonable standard of living, nor should it favour those who refuse to work. Stamp duty is an outrage.
It punishes people for moving up or moving on.

@UKJackery any idea why my Portable Power Station Explorer 1000 has just failed? Only used periodically. It's never been below about 40% until today when it had a laptop plugged in, was at about 90% and suddenly dropped to zero. This is an expensive discretionary spend at around £1000 that was expected to last up to 10 years (as per your description) and it is relied upon as an emergency backup. The unreliability is disappointing.
