SS Oscar Gefucia
2028, West Toronto Wildcats
Gefucia only turned 14 a few months back & really made noise at our Toronto Holiday Hitters event.
Athletic look at the dish & the twitch is already apparent. Hands really work & was on time throughout his rounds. Catalyst, top-of-the-order type profile.
One of the stronger INF’s we’ve seen in this ON ‘28 class to date & should be a strong follow into his freshman season.
Peak EV - 90.7 🔥

Where do your hands turn like this?
Do they move in space?
Do they get forward before they turn?
Do they turn instantly behind your head?
“Palm Up, Palm Down” is a common cue. But work on WHEN they get there.

How do some of my guys/gals feel when they train?
Here’s a quick glimpse.
@PeytonCarr11 flew in from North Carolina for the day to prep for his season at High Point University.
Best of luck this season!

Volume 🆙
Momentum v. Stored Energy
Momentum as part of your launch leaves you vulnerable. Train your body to store energy to release it.
Gain that feel, then add your momentum back in.

Did some testing help with @ProVelocityBat today and messed around with different swing techniques.
I thought it was a very interesting look at when energy happens.
VOLUME ⬆️
Try to listen to the release of the machine & what’s happening prior to it
Ryan McCarty had a lot of natural ability before training. BUT, there still were things that he wanted to clean up.
Eliminating rear arm slot b4 launch has made him feel quicker/efficient
If you’re training to ‘push’ / ‘shift’ from the rear leg to try to match what they are doing, might want to also watch what the barrel is doing 🧐
#gritnjfam#gritnj
Whether its out-middle-in, get the barrel to work parallel to the wall.
1” PVC, 2’H, 2’L
Set the tee in the middle and lower than the wall. Turn the barrel behind the ball. Enter early, leave later.
