Pelosi used palimpsests as an attempt to visualize his intentions. Often referred to by Intentists as the ‘creative trail’ some artists leave elements of the editing process in the final work so the viewer as trace the artist’s creative processes.

One of the key tenets of Intentism is ‘all meaning is the imperfect outworking of intention.’ This belief is visually interpreted in several ways, chiefly in Palimpsestism
Great quote from world- renowned linguist , philosopher and political activist @noamchomsky#NoamChomsky about Intentism: Intriguing and imaginative …interested to learn more about these views , which I do sympathize with.
This journey has become known as the creative trail and is included in many intents works as the artist intentionally leaves a visible trace of earlier marks normally edited out. This layering is on occasion referred to as Palimpsestism.😍

The School of Postmodernism is a large-scale painting by Vittorio Pelosi that is a satire on Raphael’s The School of Athens. In Raphael’s great fresco, he positions all the greatest Greek thinkers in an architectural setting that would be impossible to build.

A 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒕 is a manuscript that has been scraped off and reused. An example of this practice dates from Roman times when the text would be written on wax-coated tablets that would be smoothed over and used again.
