@basicjoomla@JdayUSA@Cloudflare@joomla Hey @basicjoomla, we were wrapping the custom fields in anchor tags in our template override. The anchor tags are not necessary to get the email addresses to render as links AND they break email cloaking. I think the @joomla / @cloudflare double email cloaking is off the hook.
That feeling when you are sitting next to @basicjoomla at @JdayUSA trying to figure out why your client has email cloaking code on their biz directory and he asks "are they on @Cloudflare ?"
@cloudflare enabled email obfuscation by default which conflict with @joomla 's cloaking
@cawebb16@alexissTyler@corywebb The crowd was ALL about it! It was the capstone to a legendary evening with fellow #Joomla friends. That is @corywebb superfan Crystal singing along in the front row. Half the team from PG was there too. Feels like #TBT and its only Wednesday.
@joomlaworks@mbabker@spudley99 If marketshare is your measure WP peaked 2.5 years ago and has given up more since that time than Joomla has in total. If you want slow changes with no breaks in b/c and the most marketshare WP has you covered. Or you can fork J3 in hopes for a fraction of the Joomla marketshare
@mbabker@joomlaworks@spudley99 My claim was not perfection in J4/J5 and you have always played at far deeper level, but for someone using, customizing, and maintaining J3, J4, and J5 all day every day I don't want to go back. Thanks for jumping in @mbabker
@joomlaworks@spudley99@mbabker I know it is challenging for developers with large extensions to keep up. I can be difficult for site builders as well. Those are good discussions, but to claim J4/5 are somehow inferior from a code or quality perspective is just false.
@joomlaworks@spudley99@mbabker Wordpress has the small incremental changes that you are looking for. Your assessment of 1.5 is accurate, but the code quality in #Joomla core gets better with every major point release... including J4 and J5.

@WebReflection@dgrammatiko w) importmap is the best solution to avoid duplicate modules, but "nobody" cares
d) @joomla , used on millions of websites worldwide, is shipping with importmaps standard in the new version out next week
w) I am not interested because this only solves a problem for Joomla.
me) 🤷♂️
I am looking forward to my conversation later today with @VirtuozzoInc about how cloud hosting is providing more options and dramatically lower costs @intergen . Register here to join us live or catch the recorded conversation later. https://t.co/rjhwPGH1O1
