@SurviveThrive2 @markcannon5 @chinagaode Moving up the evolutionary scale, I am building Dronesophila where I am using the Drosophila nervous system for autonomous navigation and through sensory stimulation, we can manipulate where it goes and what it does! 1st the worm, now the fly.
I'm working on creating Dronesophila, an emulation of the Drosophila (Fruit Fly) nervous system applied to a quadcopter. I'm starting to document. Here is a blog post outlining where I am at this time.
Making Dronesophila Part 1

The realization that emulating the Drosophila nervous system to a quadcopter requires that I connect a lot sensors to the system including compass and accelerometers from the flight controller. Making Drone-sophila self aware! More to come.
@DougRoyer C elegans is and has been replicated and refactored into many languages around the world. Drosophila isn't quite ready for prime time yet but getting there.
@LoganTCollins AGI is already here, you just need to know how and where to look for it. Tell me that emulating animal nervous systems into robotics doesn't give us general intelligence? I've done it / seen it.
Tell me that developing autonomous fire fighting drones isn't needed?? Working on it using the Drosophila nervous system and made good progress over the weekend.

Using the Zebra fish connectome, we could make this much more a reality:
Scientists say swarms of robotic fish could soon make traditional underwater research vehicles obsolete.

Just put up a video capture of the entire Drosophila nervous system emulation: https://t.co/n3g7WoVFEw
This method shows the ability to achieve SWaP which is crucial to real world AGI development.
Using current AI techniques, here is the next rover that is capable of limited generalized intelligence. The semis house the computers needed to make it work.
Reading "A leaky integrate-and-fire computational model based on the connectome of the entire adult Drosophila brain", it states "a single neuron may be connected to hundreds of downstream neurons". Pictures tell that story:
Altman is definitely showing the tail wagging the dog' i.e. given current AI, lets build huge data centers to enhance its capabilities. NO, lets invest in other technologies that make small computers capable of intelligence #PROME#Connectomics
It amazes me that no one talks about SWaP (Size,Weight&Power) in the form of the smaller, the better. Altman wants a mega chip factory for what end? We can't create robots that function in unexplored environs if they have to drag semi truck data centers with them for intelligence
