@KateRoseBee I can track when I'm feeling better but as soon as I have a bad stretch I stop tracking because I feel bad and often forget in the haze. Which is not very helpful.
@mettemarieivie I work at a place where longevity is still a thing. Some people have MONTHS saved up by the time they retire, and I really don't get it. I don't think getting to retire a few months earlier is worth not taking time off throughout your life.
@a_h_reaume My spouse and I are both disabled and I definitely agree. I wfh and am the financial contributor. They can't work, but they do the lions share of childcare and house work. I can't work AND take care of a house. They do best in a quiet space with flexible deadlines. We both win.
@KateRoseBee For tornados I pack shoes, medicines, jackets and a wallet. Tornadoes have big impact in small areas, I could probably stay at a hotel or a friend's in the same city the days following if my house got hit & be able to buy things. Pack for the disasters that affect your locality.
@RottenInDenmark This attempt to elevate a dislike of travel from "a thing cranky goblins who like to stay at home hate" to something more is a direct offense against my cranky goblin identity.
A year ago, Roe was overturned. As a fertility doctor, my patients have felt and lived the consequences of this.
The nonviable fetus after IVF. Delay in care because out of state terminations are full, resultant termination at a later gestation by 5 wks.

@mettemarieivie I don't like other people demanding happiness inside the church or out. I have depression. Happiness is not always on the table for me no matter what choices I make or what institutions I associate with. It's also not the primary motivator in all decisions.
@CaelynEllis The line of "I want to both be you and date you" was extremely confusing for me as a closeted even from myself teen and young adult. Girl's and women's relationships tend to be more emotionally close so it was so easy to pretend that the attraction was just friendship.
@CaelynEllis I love this for you. When we first moved in proximity to Smingleigh he would sometimes come over and wash dishes for us when we were having bad weeks. We haven't needed that help in several years, but having someone willing to show up for what you need is so meaningful.
@mettemarieivie It made me realize it didn't matter how righteous I was before I left, leaving was crime enough to tell untrue stories about it and me. I don't generally tell Mormons why I left anymore because it's too personal to be transformed into lies.
@mettemarieivie I had some hurtful experiences where I found out people I had shared the full experience of why I left were gossiping and telling stories about why I left that were wildly different from what I'd told them.
@moorehn My sister is religious and will only date within that community. She also has high standards for a partner. This means she's single, but she's seen enough bad relationships amongst mutual friends to know she prefers it that way. It's good to have high standards.
@KateRoseBee Not the same situation but when I was 11 flying with my family of 6, the airline tried to bump the four kids and fly my parents to Paris. My dad made a stink and us kids ended up in business class. I still can't get over trying to split a family flying internationally.
