Another Tren de Aragua gang leader with a violent criminal history in this country and abroad will now face justice - thanks to @TheJusticeDept and international law enforcement cooperation.
United States Arrests Alleged Tren de Aragua Leader Charged in Chile With Criminal Association, Extortion and Kidnapping Resulting in Homicide
“This illegal alien from Venezuela is an alleged leader of the foreign terrorist organization TdA,” said @DAGToddBlanche. “While in the United States, he was convicted of human smuggling and is accused by Chile of heinous violent crimes. This man is a clear public safety threat and should never have been in this country but reentered the United States illegally under the Biden Administration. The Justice Department, along with our federal and international partners, will continue to put safety and security first.”

Joining the entire country today observing U.S. Hostage and Wrongful Detainee Day, where we remember those held in captivity and their loved ones.
This is a day that is personal for me - I’ve been privileged to support the mission of bringing hostages home throughout my career. It’s a mission that continues every single day here at the FBI. Dealing with a loved one wrongfully captured or detained is a pain that no family should ever be forced to endure.
This @FBI will continue to work tirelessly and marshal full resources until every American is brought home and we bring justice to all of their families.
On this @INTERPOL_HQ International Day of Remembrance for #FallenOfficers, we honor the brave law enforcement heroes from the U.S. and around the world who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Your courage strengthens us all. We will never forget.
Today INTERPOL staff gathered for a ceremony to honour police officers around the world who have given their lives in service.
We carry forward their legacy through our daily work.

BREAKING: Through @StateDeptCT funding, our #ProjectTERMINUS just enhanced Thailand’s ability to screen travelers by equipping one of the world’s busiest travel hubs with greater abilities to identify and detect transnational criminals and terrorists.
Working on the ground, we deployed solutions that established a Thailand Stolen and Lost Travel Document (SLTD) database and automated Thailand’s SLTD submissions to @INTERPOL_HQ, immediately contributing 15k+ new records to the INTERPOL database.
