Through #AmplifyingIntersexVoices one message stands out: awareness is a continuous process, not a one-day event. Sustained sensitization is key to challenging stigma, changing attitudes, and building an inclusive society where intersex youth are respected, valued, and heard.

Data Protection Training Programme on our 2nd session focused on consent & vital interests, data subject rights and rights management key areas in strengthening our compliance and safeguarding sensitive data.

We held a grassroots dialogue on intersex rights, challenging myths, stigma and harmful beliefs. Many young people still lack accurate information. We must take these conversations to more communities and invest in sustained awareness, education and inclusion.@RestlessDev

Today, we remind each other that every life matters. Let’s listen without judgment, check in on those around us, and remind anyone who is struggling that they are not alone.
A simple “Are you okay?” can make a difference🥺💜🫂.

We took dialogue to the maskani/kwa base;spaces where people gather every day.
We confronted stigma, myths and name-calling. One participant walked away believing intersex is a curse.
It reminded us: awareness must continue.

Kilifi recorded 7,387 teenage pregnancies in 2025—753 more than in 2024.
On SBS Radio Kilifi, IRICK discussed holiday risks, community health insights, family support, and access to SRH information and services.

We will continue engaging in the finalisation process to ensure intersex persons are visible and meaningfully included in the policy.

With the policy now signed, regulations are next. We must ensure intersex youth are included in implementation.

IRIC-K participated in a @KELINKenya led engagement with journalists from the Coast Region to strengthen understanding of the legal framework on safe abortion in Kenya. A key outcome was the commitment by journalists to uphold core journalism values and promote accurate info.

IRIC-K is participating in a five-month Data Protection Training Programme in Kilifi led by @amnesty
and @MaonoSpace and @DPO360. The first session strengthened our capacity in data governance and compliance with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
