In June 2025, With Support from @unicefsomalia, @intersom_relief successfully distributed hygiene kits to vulnerable communities in Jowhar. This activity aimed to improve health & well-being by providing essential hygiene supplies to Vulnerable families
In April 2025, To improve WASH staff knowledge & abilities in preventing, recognizing & mitigating aid diversion risks in humanitarian operations, with the support of @shf_somalia INTERSOM held a 3-day Aid Diversion Training in Kismayu participated in by 11 WASH Staff and 15 CHP
2/2. The training focused on enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills in cholera prevention, outbreak response, hygiene promotion, and safe water practices.
1/2. In April 2025, with the support of @shf_somalia INTERSOM organized a three-day refresher training in Kismayu for fifteen Community Hygiene Promoters and five Cholera Response Teams as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen public health interventions in the region.

On May 15, 2025, Adado: To strengthen the roles and responsibilities of the local government structures, district planning and budgeting, social accountability, and economic mechanisms, Intersom trained 30 local authority officials from Adado District, in Mansoor Hotel.
3/3. Discussions emphasized the importance of inclusive citizen participation to foster sustainable progress and strengthen democratic processes at the grassroots level.
Federal Ministry of Interior of Somalia Delegation Visited INTERSOM Office - Jowhar
On 8th May 2025, INTERSOM team in Jowhar hosted a delegation from @MoIFARSomalia , led by the Director of LG, Mr. Yaxye Omar Hirsi, and accompanied by DG Nor Jaako of @MoILG_HSH

Today on 19 September 2024 @intersom_relief participated the Monthly Humanitarian Coordination meeting for emergency Preparedness and Response between MoHADM in Jubaland and the Humanitarian organizations working in Jubaland which was held at the conference hall of the Ministry.
This coordination meeting which happens once a month to discuss the humanitarian and response issues in Jubaland areas was presented with the assessment information collected by the MOHADM,
INTERSOM Commenced 1st September 2024 Emergency water supply through safe water trucking to 613 climate shock affected households in Kanjaron and Nasrudiin IDP camp, Kismayo.
The water distribution will be supplied to the IDP community for a period of 2 months
