@jvplive 1/2 The date for Yom hashoah was decided as a compromise between those who wanted the day to focus on the ghetto uprisings in Europe (Warsaw started 14 Nissan) and religious committee members who argued against a Nissan date given the religious prohibition of mourning t/o Nissan.
