@japan_nobunaga@EntropyHub A legendary dish is the hereditary sword that is passed from generation to generation. It brings joy and honor to the family that wields it.
The @Republicans hate you. They hate their base. They believe you are nothing more than rubes to be used every 2-4-6 years for your votes, then ignored. I’m sure many more were opposed to the SAVE Act, but “voted yes and hoped no.”
It is well within their power to use the levers of procedure to pass the SAVE act… the just don’t want to.
They are snakes that would rather get pats on the head from Democrats and media (but I repeat myself) than actually represent the will of the people.
They would rather be in the minority, and keep their cushy pompous lifestyles, without actually having to take responsibility for governing.
Some mistakenly believe that playing nice with @TheDemocrats will somehow win the some good will and restraint when the D’s come back to power. They are fools. The Dems understand the purpose of power, and how to wield it… and they will without mercy or restraint. The only true recourse is to use the power they have to prevent Dems from regaining control, and the Reps have failed to do so.
They all deserve to be run out of DC while being chased with pitchforks and torches…
But you know what’s worse? The American people who keep electing them, in the false hope that, “it’s not my representative, he’s a good one…”
It is perplexing. If a unit can’t do without one guy, whom they are going to lose anyway, then there is something pretty strange around prioritization and unit manning. We lose people in operations all the time: leave, casualties, taskings happen. It’s a good drill to work through a departure. And it is the right thing to do right by the retiree.
@Abn_Panzer@LeonardMJoyner My beloved spouse was offended when she saw obese female soldiers, often with impractical hairstyles and fancy manicures. But it was the obesity that really got her goat.
Not a citizen, but a guest. Constitutional protections apply irrevocably to Americans, but not to foreigners, who enjoy them at our pleasure. There is no entitlement or right to enter or work in our country, just as we don’t have any such right to such in any other country. If a host nation finds you obnoxious, you can be refused entry, or removed. Or imprisoned. Or killed. That’s the rules. I didn’t make them up.
We should all try to set a recurring reminder that what happened to our military wasn’t some changing of the political winds from one party to the next.
It was, by textbook definition, an attempted Marxist takeover of the institution.
The DEI, wokeness, lawfare, etc.
These are not simple character quirks from an election switching power over. I mean, they look like it on the surface. But they’re not.
We’ve desensitized ourselves to it. Which is exactly their plan. But it should never be perceived as normal.
Why do you think I come unglued like a vegan atheist college student from Berkeley at a church BBQ when I see it?
When I see the “leaders” divide us and the media try to shame us into supporting it, yes, I come unglued.
And you should too.
The whole reason why we’re in this mess is because we let them run roughshod without consequence for too long.
My fellow brothers and sisters: You all swore an oath. It is your duty to BECOME that consequence in the face of what aims to destroy you and your countrymen.
In the US, we daily see the attempts at subversion of the government by the press, so it actually refreshing to see the press called out and countered for their obvious efforts at propaganda and subjective narratives by that same government.
Agenda-driven propaganda is not journalism, but twaddle.
Chameleon carriers are a threat to every American on our highways. These illegal operations run dangerous drivers around the clock, manipulate safety records, and dodge accountability by rebranding overnight.
My SAFE Act cracks down on these carriers and was successfully added to this year's surface transportation bill. 🚛
@infantrydort "Partisanship is the act of taking a particular part or side in a political, ideological, or factional conflict."
Yup. That's me. I'll wear that. I choose America every single time.
