Our forefathers, for the sake of liberty, so that their children might possess a free land, gave up all thoughts of comfort and any thoughts of a good reputation. We are the beneficiaries of such fortitude and honor. However, when a people live in relative ease for too long, it is easy to forget the price of liberty. We begin to confuse access to cheap goods and constant entertainment with freedom itself.

As a people empowered and blessed to choose the servants of the administration of our sovereign will, we take our eyes off them, and they run amok, voting themselves wealth from our largesse. Self-government means constant vigilance. Liberty is not the default state of mankind, but rather tyranny is. In the spirit of 1776, we must be steadfast in our liberty, again for the sake of our progeny. May we always be worthy of the title, We the People.

I am very sure it is a useful LE tool, because it allows for general, warrantless surveillance. The Constitution is a pesky thing.

We used to believe in liberty to the extend that this maxim was embraced: "It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."

The fact is, the Conservatives are realizing that the band-wagon they have been on is built on lies. Law Enforcement provides a necessary service, but they see evil all day long. This begins to form, in their minds, that all who are not them are suspect.

And, American policing is built upon trying to deprive "suspects" of their rights. Be prepared for any interaction with LE: your 4th, 5th & 6th Amendment Rights are always in their cross-hair. And they will lie to you to try and get you to give up your rights.

The irony is Sheriff Judd, and all other Sheriffs in FL (mine included - Billy Woods), sware an oath to the US & FL Constitutions.

The problem LE face is that everyday, they interact with the worst of society. The problem is that they begin to look at society (those who are not them) as all being suspect. They are NOT to be the guaranteers of our Liberty. We are. They (LEO) has proven themselves unworthy of this authority... and really no one should be.

Judd, just like nearly every other LEO in FL will look for any technique to violate the Rights of The People. LEO does, everyday, deal with the worst of society. But in doing so, they begin to feel anyone not them, are suspects.

No. A badge & gun does not represent the character needed to protect our Rights. Vigilance is the only way.

Just think of that statement: "Flock, is the single best tool to keep people safe..." Meaning, if you will just forego your Rights.
