Why are they always saying “say it louder for the people in the back.” As someone usually in the back, I take offense to that. Y’all privileged people up front just assuming that the people in the back aren’t listening? To just assume we are somehow at fault for being in the back is unfair.
Additionally, the statement is presumptuous to people who are sitting up front. You assume they are paying attention cause they’re up front? Is it general admission or does everyone have a reserved seat? There are several socioeconomic factors to consider as well.
Plus, why didn’t the place where the things are being said have adequate sound accommodations? Why is it “say it louder for the people in the back” and not “maybe the person saying the things should reconsider the environment in which he is saying said things so next time the people in the back will have equal opportunity to hear.”
The statement also assumes the thing said was so important that the people in the back need to hear it, in comparison to other things said. So the privilege of the people up front get to decide which parts are said louder, based on what THEY THINK the people in the back need to hear? Presumptuous and elitist.
As someone in the back, let me just say that we do not need it to be said louder. Have you ever considered we sat in the back NOT to avoid hearing, but to avoid sitting next to the type of people up front who say things like “say it louder for the people in the back”
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Time to go social: it's been 5 months of back-and-forth with @davidsbridal, & I still have not received the full refund they told me I would receive. Has anyone else had this experience? I returned 2 items within the return window, tags still on & only received a partial refund.
I remain Jesus-Curious, but I want to be real for a minute and say some things:
- I was shocked by the music before it began, it was so beautiful. I didn't know that people looked like that when they sang along; like so connected to something. I cried a lot during the music and don't know why.
- I knew that Charlie was a Christian, but I didn't know that he did all of this for Jesus. I knew he loved Jesus, but I thought more about his drive for social change and real leaders. I didn't know he like literally did it all for Jesus.
- If @bennyjohnson was a pastor, I would go to that church every week.
- I realize a big thing I am afraid of with it is having to change. I would have to change. What Erika said about the answer is love and always love... I'd have to change.
I don't know. But I do know that I came to X to complain about the USDA and now I'm writing my feelings about Jesus on the internet. I have met so many amazing people here who believe in Jesus and I never expected that.
This was long.
Season 4 of @AmericanIdol was the first season I ever watched, Jesus Take The Wheel was the first song I ever downloaded, and Some Hearts was the first CD I ever purchased. All these years later, what a full circle moment 🥹😭🥰 @carrieunderwood
I still can't get over the fact that it was THE @AbiCarterMusic that we heard at the Palm Springs Street Fair last winter on vacay, and now she's the @AmericanIdol winner! Her voice in person is even more phenomenal y'all! 😍 #AbiCarter#AmericanIdol
I'm going to make a prediction for the #AmericanIdolFinale next week... #AbiCarter will probably reprise her audition song, What Was I Made For on the piano, and that may potentially give her the win. #AmericanIdol
4 months later, I still regret not videoing a certain moment while vacationing in Palm Springs. It was the Thursday night street market, and a very talented singer with a gorgeous voice was performing. Little did I know, it was none other than #AbiCarter 😇 #AmericanIdol
The world wants peace, but rejects the Prince of Peace. The world wants love, but rejects the Author of love. The world wants life, but rejects the One who gave His to save theirs. The world desperately wants Jesus, but they're too busy rejecting Him to know that He's the answer.
@kimak@TheSnowAngelz Your point is? As a Christian, no, I don't agree with the message in this song. Doesn't make me a hater to stand for what I believe in. I understand the reasons and motivation for writing the song, but I think the message can be so easily construed and misrepresented.
@TheSnowAngelz@DavidArchie I'm just sorry for the experience they had and their reasons for leaving the church. I wish it had played out differently and they had a more positive and nurturing community around them. I'm not LDS but I do know how hurtful "Christians" can be when they don't reflect Christ.
@TheSnowAngelz@DavidArchie That's very true too. I'm just expressing my thoughts from my own upbringing and beliefs, which are very different from David and Lupe's experience with the church and their faith; so I'm not judging on any decisions they've made.
