The S&P 500 hit an all-time high in February, then fell over -5% in March.
Rare for stocks to fall this much from a 1-year high.
Historically, the S&P was up 87% of the time 3 months later and 100% of the time 6-12 months later.
@Thomson416 agreed-definitely a lack of planning and more missed opportunities to improve the city for the future. Public transit options are poor and it’s deemed acceptable to take 4yrs to repair an existing highway.
@carlCityNews It’s a Nightmare here. I’m not sure who approves these decisions, but I’m certain they could’ve hosted the Honda Indy somewhere else this year considering highway closures. Not everything needs to happen on the Lakeshore.
📠: Dispelling theories on the Bank of Canada vs. The #RealEstate market💥 the #BofC can influence the RE market & Loonie but it's really about combating #inflation! ⛔ It’s a sticky situation - we won’t know if the strategy is successful or not until enough time has passed. ⏳
@EstateLevy while I agree w/ your sentiment that times are tough, we are not in a recession - specific economic factors must be met in order to be deemed a recession (consecutive negative GDP growth/unemployment/decreased consumer spending, business investment and manufacturing)
@AlexHormozi It really depends on who the people are no? When I am just getting to know a group or person I’m more of an observer and like to listen more than I talk.
@g_meslin Driving in Toronto is so stressful and dangerous. Drivers behind you pushing and honking you and obviously can’t see what you can see. They aren’t thinking about anyone’s safety and just want to go first. It’s crazy.
