Most intellectualism, is construct based. People try to escape the confined of the construct to deplete it to a basis of a stable universal truth, but most fail miserably. Well grounded. But there's also an important paradox inherent in the situation. That is, that to some extent nature is required for survival. Diversification's necessity depends on where your society sits in relation to what is a "balancing element" on the collectivistic-individualistic spectrum for that society. Over diversification and too much complexity tend to confuse the human mind, and this leads to depressive disorders for a better lack of any functional capacity within the context of the mind to comprehend the species underlining socially constructed, natural social nature.
