Our founding fathers may have been a little surprised to see this image — but today, I welcomed the British Ambassador to the United States, Sir Christian Turner, to the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia for a bilateral meeting to discuss how we can protect our shared values and strengthen our economic ties.
The United Kingdom is one of our Commonwealth’s largest trading partners, and British companies have invested heavily in our Commonwealth, with over 1,100 British businesses supporting more than 75,000 jobs in Pennsylvania.
Tomorrow, we celebrate 250 years of our independence — but today is a testament to our shared values and the partnership we’ve built with our nation’s closest ally in the centuries since.
@TSA@PHLAirport after having to park in D bc 1/2 the garage is closed, walking down 2 flights of stairs bc elevators are broken, walking outside with luggage to get to C, this is the TSA pre-check line (actually you can’t even see the regular line from here). We can do better.

After being randomly assigned to do just 3 acts of kindness a week, people felt significantly less depressed, anxious, and lonely.
Lifting others up elevates us too. Giving shows us that we matter.
@TSA what the heck is going on at DFW?! TSA recheck line is literally about 3 blocks long. It leaves the terminal and loops back! They’re telling us to expect 30 min at least and that there is no other recheck in the airport?!
