The wooden stand shown in Jaadugar is quite common in the circles of knowledge especially at the mosques or centres where either Quran or hardback covers are placed to study, read and learn from. It’s shaped to hold the books neatly instead of placing them on our laps for ease.

It’s especially good for books with thousands of pages as one attached one of the larger books here which is easier to read on a stand like that instead of the table. There are some modern stands now that look like pulpits for books but they can’t be used while seated unlike these.

These book stands are mostly made of wood and are quite light, sometimes can be made out of metal but the wood is the best. During prayers, people can leave their Quran copies open there to return back to later.

I love the meticulous attention to detail because it’s really the first time people are appreciating something that wasn’t created carelessly and it almost looks like we are looking at the past from the lens of this anime.

Some parts of the history from the 13th century still exist in 2026.
