Dato che il sole non è sempre presente e dobbiamo accumulare energia quando c'è, la potenza dell'impianto deve essere sovradimensionata. Anziché 2,28 GW deve essere di circa 23-35 GW, 11-15 volte superiore alla domanda media.

Cominciamo dai dati ufficiali. Nella zona di Milano abbiamo per il solare un fattore di potenza pari al 12%.
Significa che nell'anno, il FV può produrre solo nel 12% del tempo.
La domanda media è pari 2,28 GW

Furthermore the mobilisation against nuclear power has made embarking on the construction of new plants extremely risky.
