Constable Mvelo Gcabashe - attached to the SAPS POP Unit - was brutally murdered in Inanda in February 2025.

He was with his girlfriend at the time.

Gcabashe’s service pistol was taken by his attackers and they’ve been on the run since then.

Until now.

It all ended on the roadside, with their battered bodies lying beside a crumpled Hyundai.

The result of being on the wrong end of a gunfight.

I’ve complained about this before.

In my case, because most of their drivers are undocumented, my estate doesn’t allow them in.

I’d have to fetch my groceries at the gate 🤬

Now they just get another random driver to deliver, give him the code. It’s a mess and a risk!

@Sixty60_Tweets Your drivers appear to be exchanging codes or docs when completing deliveries. One of your drivers was inside my estate for 40 minutes and I had no idea what he was doing. I also couldn’t contact him during that time. This is a security risk, please look into it.

Location is not a peripheral to housing access.
State bears a burden to align with Constitutional transformation.

City had failed to provide any housing in well located areas.
No justification for City’s policies lacking geographical location considerations.

No justification for failing to provide housing in Sea Point.

City cannot use land value as a basis for denying access to housing.

City and Province has failed in their constitutional duties to provide well located affordable housing and to address spatial apartheid.
