I have a theory. Amanda (the woman who met with Carrie's mom) is Emaline's mother. Emaline came to save Carrie at the end of the show and grabbed her arm, which means she was actually there, not just a hallucination or a clone. Who else had those powers? Amanda's daughter.
And what about that news reporter or interviewer, whatever she was? She could control people's minds. What if the newswoman is actually trying to save Carrie and Emaline?

I also think Rita isn't dead. It seemed to me that she wasn't scared of Carrie at all. She even had a little smile on her face when the chaos began. And the fact that she became a new teacher at the same time Carrie started her school year is weird, too.
I think they're all somehow connected. The real question is: are they working together, or are they against each other? Because that interviewer erased Sue's memories, leaving Carrie as the only one to blame.
What if there's a much bigger plan behind all of this, and we're being led to believe that Carrie is the villain when, in reality, someone is manipulating everything behind the scenes? #carrie
