@riversorare @MartinSLewis In many cafes & restaurants in China there is no option to pay by cash (or even credit cards). Instead, one orders at the counter/table using QR codes scannable via Alipay or WeChat Pay (most popular wallets in China).

Cash problem solved, & beggars have QR codes for donations.
