I’m not one for “conspiratorial takes” but it’s interesting to point out that last summer @ryancohen was on Fox Business with @cvpayne saying that @gamestop was looking to make a “big acquisition of a public co” as it is trying to transform itself into a holdco resembling $BRK with a deep value bias. In the last few days, he was interviewed by the $WSJ and confirmed that $GME is close to announcing a target co and will be on Payne’s program again this Monday. Over the past several months I have posted that @WesternUnion should definitely check many of the boxes that Ryan and his team are looking for. Interestingly, the @RBC reported on 9/30/25 that it holds 5.4 million shares of $WU or almost 4% an 80% increase from the previous filing, Q4 holdings haven’t been reported yet, but will be interesting. With WU’s recent pivot into #crypto, launching their own #stablecoin #USDPT in partnership with @solana and GameStop’s recent acquisition of #BTC there certainly are some interesting parallels. Also interesting to point out that $WU typically reports Q4 and full year results in the first week of Feb but this Q4/Full Year 2025 report will be released later, on Feb 20th, which, interestingly enough coincides with options expiration. Anyway, just thought I’d share some thoughts this Saturday morning…☕️
