(tw rape, police violence)
for the past 8 months, I've been investigating the rape allegations of a Black sex worker in Eugene, OR. She says she was stalked and raped by a police officer after he came to her house for a domestic violence call. Now she's the one facing charges
Ma’khia Bryant, 15, was killed by police moments before the Chauvin verdict was read. She called police for help because she felt threatened. Instead, they came into her home and killed her. Police do not know how to respond to crises without violence. Police do not keep us safe.
Eric Stillman filed four use of force reports from 2017-2019.
- All 4 have CB numbers, indicating that someone was likely arrested.
- All four subjects are black men, late 20s or older.
