🚨BREAKING: The NUMBER ONE priority for Democrats in Wisconsin is giving illegal immigrants driver's licenses.
@DavidCCrowley FULLY supports it, along with taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants.
We CANNOT let them turn Wisconsin into a sanctuary state.
Diversity initiatives are inherently discriminatory against whoever isn’t given the preferential treatment. In many instances of govt discrimination it’s actually asians who are most harmed. The vision of a color blind society isn’t a rightwing conspiracy.
It is opponents of the equality amendment who want to blur the picture. What, pray tell, does it mean to get rid of "DEI" and "affirmative action?" That's not operative language that could ever be legally enforced. Racial preferences, however, are a particular thing. They can be prohibited - unlike some undefined concept like "DEI." Its ambiguous nature is why it is used. It is discrimination that dare not speak its name.

First of all, it is not only red states opting into this opportunity. Second, I'd really appreciate it if @GovEvers expanded upon why he thinks these are public funds. These scholarships are funded ENTIRELY by private donations incentivized by federal a tax credit.
The Evers Administration has honored ICE detainers throughout its two terms, releasing DOC prisoners directly to ICE custody and taking related federal grants.
I can't find any instance of a single reporter asking the admin about this fact.
Told ya what? The rules gave the clarity that public schools stand to benefit too. That’s why other Democratic governors are opting in.
You are putting politics before actually helping families improve academic achievement (at no cost to state). It’s no wonder we’re stagnating.
The donations will still happen, and the tax credits will be claimed.
What the Governor is doing here is simply denying Wisconsin kids the opportunity to get these scholarships. All the money will flow out of Wisconsin to kids in other states.
Only 95 days until this guy is out of office, thank goodness.

It’s time to take a stand for all children.
Race shouldn’t help you. Race shouldn’t hurt you.
My son waited for reading help because of his skin color. No child should.
Equality for every child.
Nov 3 — Vote YES on Question 3
"According to a WILL dashboard analyzing public school district spending, districts on average spend about $19,000 per pupil statewide. That's despite Wisconsin ranking 33rd of 38 states in math recovery and 30th of 35 in reading recovery since 2022 on the Education Scorecard," Koenen said. https://t.co/YK5ZC518OD

Just a pro tip for you guys: if you ever find yourself saying "Hitler had the decency..." you should probably just take a tactical pause right there and reevaluate your entire life.
Why is Wisconsin DPI playing games with its state budget request?
State law requires that budget requests from agencies be submitted by September 15. But DPI only submitted "part" of their budget, and says the next part won't come until after November (i.e., after the elections).
For the last budget, DPI requested more than $4 billion in new spending. Odd that they've decided to "delay" their request this cycle until after the election...
.@DanLennington on Flock Cameras: Most department policies, if they exist, allow searches for “official use” or “law enforcement purposes,” hardly the type of guardrails to protect the public from a surveillance state. But the Constitution requires more.
