#SwDMathChat Thanks everybody! #Dyslexicandstrong

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@tperran @PaulaKrieg I was never allowed to use a calculator until late highschool. ;-;

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@DDibley123 @tperran Yes, especially when you have to write it down. Having to draw graphs is very intimidating.

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@PaulaKrieg #SwDMathChat This is because the other methods required too much memorization and where you put numbers. The quad eq is constant

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@anyaostapczuk @PaulaKrieg In a traditional schooling situation, which most dyslexic students are in. If can't take test, whats the point?

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@PaulaKrieg @mathconfidence I think it was both. It definitely wasn't easy to figure it out, and plugging information is never easy.

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@PaulaKrieg I guess I can let y'all sweat for a bit. :)

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@anyaostapczuk @aboone_angie It's a very intimidating "problem" for sure, with no direction.

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@PaulaKrieg #SwDMathChat My brain hurts just looking at that LOL >.>

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@PaulaKrieg #SwDMathChat yeah, people are silly :3

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@MarkChubb3 #SwDMathChat Agreed, also motivated to use mental math instead of a calculator.

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@PaulaKrieg I am! #SwDMathChat

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@bkdidact @PaulaKrieg It's super useful for those things yes.

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@tperran Can you give me an example, I'm afraid I don't know exactly which type of problems you're referring to.

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@PaulaKrieg Everybody else is seeing my tweets i think.

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@mathconfidence It's pretty fantastic yes. It's pretty embarrasing in my opinion to have to whip out calculator at a resturant table..to tip

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@MarkChubb3 That's one way of thinking about it. I found mental math to come quite easy after I understood the concept, easier in your head.

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

@PaulaKrieg Are you not seeing my messages?

[John Krieg @Invisus64]

#SwDMathChat Other people that are my age still dont' know how to do this type of math in their head. Even on calculator its hard.
