@mrvolac "I am not your /dear/." *She almost snarls the words, baring her teeth at him in warning.* "I sense danger in you."

@mrvolac *She jerks back in the water with an alarmed hiss, inky black eyes seeming to widen.* "How can you understand me?"

@YoungPrufrock well. She doesn't say or do anything, merely floating in the water and gripping the edge of the pier, watching him closely.*

@YoungPrufrock *She only tilts her head when he speaks, hoping that universal "I don't understand" gesture is true on this planet, as --

@YoungPrufrock *Taking his lack of, well, leaving, as a good sign, she swim even closer, webbed fingers grabbing onto the edge.*

@mrvolac bit of pettiness, she starts to speak to him in her native tongue, the language flowing and light. "I am not afraid."*

@mrvolac *She can't understand the words he speaks to her, and she isn't quite sure she wants to. Out of spite and perhaps a little --

@YoungPrufrock *Slowly, now actively trying not to scare the creature off, she swims closer to the pier. If only she knew how to show peace-

@YoungPrufrock to stay safe. With a sigh, she swims back to the surface, head breaking the water as she stares at him silently.*

@YoungPrufrock He was staring at her for goodness knows how long. Who knows what he could do? What he could bring to her? --

@YoungPrufrock *She's panicking under the water, drifting nearly to the bottom as she thinks of what to do next. This person /saw/ her.--

@YoungPrufrock her tail slapping against the water's surface on the way down.*

@YoungPrufrock *Her head snaps towards him immediately, inky black eyes wide with fear just before she dives back under the water, --

@YoungPrufrock *And she does, leaping into the air in a way unlike a dolphin before slowing back down to a leisurely swim.*

@YoungPrufrock *And then she disappears, ducking down into the water once more.*

@mrvolac *Her scaled, barely-there lips seem to purse as she stares at him silently, glowering at him as her long tail flicks up behind her*
