The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Matthew's friends and family at this sad time ❤️
Once a Jack, always a Jack 🦢
Absolutely disgusting behaviour… shame on you @FIFAcom you should be standing up for the people who officiate this game, instead you bow away like cowards
FIFA confirm Omar Abdulkadir Artan can’t officiate at the World Cup after being denied entry into the United States.
The Somali referee is one of Africa’s most respected officials. Somalia's Ministry of Youth and Sports say Artan travelled with a valid US visa.
Yet Somalia is on a travel ban list introduced by President Trump’s administration.
🗣️ “FIFA is not involved in host country immigration processes, including visa adjudications, and has been informed by authorities that Mr Artan's status will not be changed at present.
“In line with previous FIFA events, a host government ultimately determines who receives a visa and who is admitted into their country.”
At the risk of spoiling everyone's fun...
Sources at Swansea claim Michu is NOT currently a candidate to take over as sporting director, despite reports elsewhere #Swans

Inciting violence is against the law in the UK, so Russian Nigel here seems ok with it, tells you everything about him as a person, always waits for a tragedy in the news to use it to his advantage and never cares for the victims or their families, disgusting piece of work he is
🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage defends saying people should respond to Henry Nowak’s arrest with “pure cold rage”
“I used that term very, very deliberately… I suggested that rage was put in a cold way, not a hot way”
How patronising is that deform MS… how dare he downplay the people of Wales and its government, England and Scotland are fine to handle their own governments but when it comes to Cymru.. we have a so called “Welsh” person talking down on us as if he were born an Englishman, cunt
I was recently on a panel with a senior Welsh Reform politician and we were asked about devolving the Crown Estate.
He said that Wales shouldn't have more powers because "we are not very good in Wales at being efficient in running things".
There are a few points I would make about the comment:
1. There are legitimate arguments for not devolving the Crown Estate. I chronicle them in my book. I do on balance believe it would be better for Wales if it was devolved (or at least the money from it was sent directly to Wales) but it is not inherently “anti-Wales” to be hesitant about the devolution of the Crown Estate.
2. However, the argument that “we are not very good in Wales at being efficient” is one of the most infantile descriptions of a nation I have ever heard, especially coming from a man/party who claimed they wanted to lead that nation. The idea that Wales and the Welsh are uniquely incapable of running something illustrates a level of self-hate and lack of confidence that we need to shed. It’s a narrative that holds us back more than almost anything.
3. Nothing says “I don’t think we will ever run the Welsh Government” like this statement. If Reform really believed they would one day have the levers of government at their disposal, they wouldn’t be so quick to deny Wales having them.
Nobody should be buying any of this nonsense the Saints staff are spewing, you’re all just as complicit as the manager, you had the chance to say no and you didn’t do it
The WhatsApp messages between the Southampton analysts have been released 📱
A junior analyst was sent to 'observe' Oxford train in December. His response to colleagues was:
🗣️"I didn't really have an option and wasn't provided an opportunity to say no. I was an intern and was doing what I was told."
When he sent details from that session back to his line manager, he received a message reading: "You legend. Manager loved it."
He was asked to carry out a second spying mission on Ipswich but expressed concern and was told that "the boss is adamant that someone needs to go".
After being caught, another analyst at the club sent a message to his colleague, said:
🗣️"I said all along I was never happy about it all & it wasn't right, but no one listened to me!"
Yikes.
