On November 6th OpenAI announced the development of a GPT Marketplace, generating considerable excitement in the tech community and presenting a potential competitive threat to many startups in the AI space.
In response to the announcement, "influencers" on @X quickly declared it the end for startups offering AI services, especially those building extensions on top of Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT.
One month later, in December, OpenAI announces that the launch of the GPT Marketplace will be postponed by one year.
The postponement provided AI influencers/developers who attended Devday with ample time to continue their critical assessment of the startups, which would become their competition. Concurrently, venture capitalists and investors in these firms begin to withdraw their support.
Presently, developers who participated in #DevDay are leading the way with #GPTs on GPT Builder.
Find it fascinating that no other firms have discussed this--and that it was all a cycle to obliterate investment into new ideas that were being drawn up by great talent in the marketplace.

In the past year, we've observed a trend where large enterprises are reshaping their core business strategies, investing heavily in artificial intelligence for backend operations, and simultaneously reducing expenditures in other areas.
Though for small to mid-sized businesses, we have found that leaders see a competitive disadvantage and are increasingly seeking AI solutions to remain competitive with their larger counterparts.
As we begin 2024, we will share more insights around AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science and the solutions that can be implemented in order to maximize your business segments.
The Case for AI on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) Teams.
RFP Teams have long been integral to the procurement processes of both corporate and government entities. In recent discussions about cost-cutting and restructuring across these sectors, the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a significant resource.
AI is increasingly being leveraged to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the RFP process, from automating mundane tasks to providing more sophisticated analysis and decision-making support.
AI is set to streamline the RFP process by automating routine tasks such as reading, scoring, and generating critical data. Currently, many legacy businesses rely on manual human effort for these steps, which can lead to errors and decreased productivity, especially in scenarios involving virtual meetings with 10-15 people per RFP.
The benefits of using AI for RFP management include:
1️⃣ Faster processing times: AI can quickly and accurately read through RFPs and evaluate them based on pre-defined criteria, saving time and resources.
2⃣Improved scoring accuracy: AI can accurately score RFPs based on the criteria, reducing the risk of errors or bias.
3⃣Enhanced data analysis: AI can analyze RFP data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can help inform strategic decision-making.
4⃣Increased transparency: AI can provide real-time updates to stakeholders, keeping them informed throughout the RFP process.

Did you know there is an Interest Form: Higher Usage Cap for GPT-4? Here is the message:
"Thanks for your interest in GPT-4!
To give every Plus user a chance to try the model, we’re currently dynamically adjusting usage caps for GPT-4 as we learn more about demand and system performance.
We're also actively exploring ways for ChatGPT Plus subscribers to use GPT-4 in a less constrained manner; this may be in the form of a new subscription level for higher-level GPT-4 usage, or something else."
