What a day we had at the #Reallybigmanxsing yesterday with @maestrostefano at the helm. Some of the comments from those attending included - ‘inspiring’, ‘incredible’, ‘fantastic’, ‘the best’. Thanks to all involved in making it happen and we can’t wait for next year!

Back to school for some of our members today as our MD, @Manxmezzo led two workshops - ‘Follow the Score’ and ‘Everything you ever wanted to know about singing but were afraid to ask!’

And we are OFF - a wonderful first rehearsal of our 23/24 season. Everyone in fine voice and great to be back making music together as we sing this stunning work!

Less than a week to go - excitement is mounting at IOMCS HQ!

Our MD, @Manxmezzo has been rehearsing with our soloists and the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra today. We are Grateful to the IOMSO for giving us this early opportunity to get together. The orchestra and soloists responded so well to each other.

We have been practising parts of our new choral work since September, but today is the first day we have the complete score for rehearsal tonight. It looks great and we can’t wait for you to hear its world premiere!

A busy weekend - first rehearsal with the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra and then the first of an extra Sunday rehearsal with the choir today. Things are hotting up!

Phew - And that’s a wrap! What an epic day. Thank you to everyone who came along to the Really Big Manx Sing and helped to make the day such a success. Biggest thank you to @maestrostefano - we think you’re great!

What a day we are having so far! The weather may be dismal, but spirits are high inside Trinity as @maestrostefano leads us through The Armed Man! Come tonight at 7pm to hear what can be done in a day!

Here at IOMCS HQ, we are very excited to have received ’Composer of Life’, the brand new work by Ellie Quayle Music with text by Zoë Cannell, which is being premiered at our 2023 concert. We can’t wait to get started on this with the choir at our next rehearsal!
