Silence does not always mean 'lack of interest.' To some people, silence is all the therapy they need.
So do not equate silence on political issues with not caring at all. Please let’s give them the benefit of the doubt.

Sometimes people would rather avoid arguments with people who argue to fight, rather than understand. They are already too stressed to add more of that. And, these types of arguments would just inflict more stress.
