quite frankly i feel sick seeing that yet more disgusting racism, ableism and bigotry from within the scottish drag scene. i do not give a single fuck how old you are, how much you have apparently changed since (which is bullshit anyway) or anything else. there is no excuse.

i was very lucky that everything was pretty minor and i didnt have any long term damage that i know of know. let disabled people make accommodations for themselves without facing ridicule. drag is drag, it doesn't have any physical prerequisites

thinking about the fact that i had 10+ sprains in 2019 (the year i did by far most drag stuff, i was a minor at this time too) because of the constant rhetoric around having to perform in heels and do stunts that existed then (and still does now imo) ...

i felt like in order to be respected in the scene i had to risk and sustain injuries (i am very dyspraxic and hypermobile), or else face ridicule. looking back this is such a toxic way for me to have been feeling, especially as a 17 year old at the time. this is not a new issue.
