@TheTorontoSun@simmonssteve Toronto media exhibits a sour patch for Mitch Marner even after he found success with another team.
Great job Mitch! Prove them wrong again!
@FirstUp1050@CarloColaiacovo Yeah the Toronto media chased him out of town. Amplified the hate yelling it on all channels.
I really hope he lifts the Stanley cup this year.
No one deserves this more than him.
He proved all haters wrong.
The lLeafs were never built like a complete team.
@OverDrive1050 Difficult!
No matter what management said it wouldn’t change the perception of this market.
They need to prove their worth with actions not words.
We heard enough words turning to disappointment at the end of the season.
@MapleLeafs What took you so long?
But more importantly, your next move better have a positive impact.
We want from Lou to Dubas to Tre’.
Enough of these endless trial and error!
We need some winning 🙏!
@MapleLeafs@LGCanada It seems we suck at tanking too!
However I hope buds can win as many left in the season to gift the Bruins a late draft!
This is a Leafy season!🍁🍂
@LeafsPR Hope Stolarz is back to full health.
However one wonders how Leafs plan to win games next season with two goalies with health issues.
Hard to get into a rhythm.
If Woll, Stolarz and Rielly all return to play next season we will be back to this deflating position again.
@MapleLeafs@LGCanada Marner wasn’t the problem. Management was and still is the problem starting with Dubas and ending with Treliving.
Shanny made wrong choices in selecting GMs.
There may be hope with a shrewd GM that doesn’t rely on trial & error process.
@MapleLeafs Truth is Brad’s trademark us upon Maple Leafs right: Swing ‘N Miss.
Were left with depleted assets, no picks and a dark future.
With Rielly’s NMC, abysmal performance and Woll’s frailty and misplacement in crucial moments of a game there is little hope for following seasons.
@MapleLeafs@LGCanada If only we would have picked a shrewd GM with a decisive plan…
This fanbase has to suffer through another series of painful “what-if” seasons.
@MapleLeafs@TheKeg He is not a bad player and has good character.
However it may make sense to change the environment.
He may be thriving with another team.
@MapleLeafs@LGCanada This what you get when a good chunk of this fandom identified Marner as the #1 problem of this team.
This latest run proves he was their winning catalyst for this team.
Without him Mathews is just a shadow.
@MapleLeafs@NHL Not sure why Leafs paid 1st rounder last season.
Good to know there are now holes to fill in every single line.
Hope to see another hole filled with #44 departure in offseason.
@MapleLeafs@LGCanada I like the current trend but not sure it will be enough to hold onto #1 pick.
I’m afraid they will have to learn how to play the game again next season.
With another coach!
@Leafslatest Unfortunately it is starting to become clear that you can’t build a team around Matthews. He is not “the guy”! He is the lucky guy scoring a lot, feeding off “the guy”. Should Leafs trade 34 and 88? Yes, at least one of them.
@reporterchris That will be surrogate for a second round playoff win. We will a cheer and claim Mission Accomplished!
The alternative makes this team unwatchable for another 5-10 years.
@mirtle This mess started under Dubas/Shanahan when they were locked in on a soft core.
Even stitching C on 34’s shirt appears a weak move in hindsight.
This was and is a soft team unable to match the competitive nature of the game.
@leafguy403 He shouldn’t be fired. With him we’ll have a chance to become one of the last five. 🤨
Anyways, years of bad management decisions brought us here… happy to tank to hold on to one last #1 pick.😔
@MapleLeafs@LGCanada Can’t wait for the trade deadline…
This years exposed the GM and Leafs failed plan more than any other year.
Also Mathews is approaching expiration date in TO.
@FirstUp1050@DarrenDreger It’s not time… it’s overtime🤓 I mean… overdue. At this point it is best if he’s not on the ice. The entire D is core seems more composed. GM can’t do much w/o picks but he can try to trade or buy him out.
