@IKON1436 Are you sure about Al Mokha? :)

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@KevinCuddeback @Jonpy99 RU

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@T4man1603 @visegrad24 No.

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@BoslandJohan @KilledInUkraine Lt Col

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@KilledInUkraine @SamLitel Yes, but he was also a Lt Col in 2023 (in your original post). :)

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@KilledInUkraine @SamLitel Not a useful argument. Mobilized & volunteer officers keep their ranks, even if they serve in a soldier role or hold low-ranking position. In RU Army, you can wear Lt Col stars but be a Platoon Commander.

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@n145783905 @KilledInUkraine Captain or Major in Russia. Partly because RU battalion is smaller than a British or American one.

@McBauBaw Mulți proști mai populează planeta. 😃

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@NRC_Norway Leave them be.

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@KilledInUkraine Combat-related death, nevertheless.

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@Ike_Saul But Elon is right.

New Year’s resolution for everyone in the West.

To stop being tolerant…

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@dillonrpayton @KilledInUkraine Not so unusual for Russian Army. Battalions are commanded by Majors (most cases), LTCs or even sometimes by Captains. Regiments are usually commanded by Colonels, but LTCs are also common (especially now).

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@Boeing777_39P Order of Courage in the Chechen Wars was a symbol of bravery and heroism. Now, it became a joke.

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@GHarward @CambridgeUP Was added on my TO BUY list.

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@thenihiin GET. OUT.

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@KilledInUkraine He was CO of an Assault Detachment (Battalion).

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@KilledInUkraine 45yo Lt Col? Don't think he was mobilized.

[Ion Ursu @ionursu89]

@dillonrpayton @KilledInUkraine Yes, quite usual for Russian Army. Even before the start of this War.
Battalions commanders, a position reserved for LTC in NATO armies, are usually Majors and (now) Capitans in Russian Army.
