Deputies say she tied a dog to a fence with no food, water or shelter, and left him there until he died.

His name was Pablo, a mixed breed boxer in Fort Lauderdale.

According to a BSO arrest affidavit, on Oct 18 Raynanda Herring, 31, found Pablo had gone to the bathroom inside a home in the 2900 block of NW 8th Place. She tied him to a backyard fence on a 6 foot leash. He couldn’t move more than about a foot.

The affidavit says she told deputies she came back around 5:30am Tuesday, saw he was still alive, and left him tied up without food or water. Deputies told her to call animal control. Investigators say she never did.

Pablo was found dead later that day.

She’s charged with animal cruelty causing cruel death or pain and suffering, and failure to provide food and water to a confined animal.

Prosecute it to the fullest. Pablo deserved that much.
