An Indianapolis woman is accused of pulling a gun on employees at a child store because they told her that her child can’t play on the toys.

Tamara Staten is charged with intimidation, a Level 5 felony and pointing a firearm, a Level 6 felony.

It happened in July at Once Upon a Child off 86th Street, but the case was not filed until Tuesday.

Store employees hit the hold up alarm after the incident, but police say Staten was already gone by the time officers arrived.

Staff told police that they repeatedly told Staten that her toddler could not play on a motorized ride-on toy because of store policy.

They claim she became irate, harassed the employees and continued allowing the child to play.

At one point, the employee said Staten told her, “We can fight about it.”

Detectives watched security video showing Staten pull out the gun and point it at employees.

The woman said Staten said, “I can use this,” while waiving the gun willy-nilly and pointing it at her.

Police were eventually able to identify Staten using her license plate allegedly caught on store video and the employee picking her out of a lineup.

As of this post, Staten has an active warrant for the charges and has yet to be arrested.
