@Slate @deray @tayloru Additionally, students were surprised by his presence in the line in f receiving their diploma. They had to make a gut reaction in how to respond. Many chose not to shake Pence’s hand or acknowledge him. For many this was equivalent to a slap in the face.

@Slate @deray I was there. I did not walk out to respect my graduate’s wishes. She wore the “We are Taylor too” sticker and made a pledge to love ALL people as Christ would (wearing a button to signify her commitment.) @tayloru held a political rally not a graduation for the first 2 hours.

If you work in a school, you are important to more than just the kids. Staff morale is not usually a function of the students… but of the level of support, encouragement, trust, respect, and camaraderie that exists among the adults in the building.
