Today, hope was planted alongside trees in Mururu Sector as the RIL Project was officially launched. Together with local communities, we're restoring the Rusizi River catchment by planting 115,071 agroforestry and native trees while creating sustainable livelihoods.
🌱 From 7–9 June, IPFG welcomed a @LivelihoodsFund delegation to visit restoration project sites, tree nurseries, and agroforestry fams. The team also explored our land registration and mapping processes, witnessing how communities are restoring landscapes, improving livelihoods.
On 06 June 2026, the Board and Management Team of IPFG Rwanda gathered for a refresher training on Human Resources and Audit Policies, strengthening their commitment to accountability, transparency, and effective organizational management.
Planting trees is becoming a community responsibility. Through the Nyungwe Agroforestry Project implemented by IPFG in partnership with Livelihoods Funds, over 100,000 native trees have been planted in Nyaruguru & Nyamagabe near Nyungwe National Park
In Rwanda, IPFG targets 280ha, supporting 560 farmers, and planting native agroforestry trees for the Rusizi River restoration using agroforestry model. 🌱
#TerraFund uses AI data, biodiversity & water layers, and local expertise to target high-impact restoration areas across Africa.
IPFG is among the Champions to do the Restoration in the Mururu sector under the #RestoreLocal 🌍1/2
We concluded a 2-day field visit in Nyamagabe with Livelihoods Venture & DEG investors to assess nursery operations, ESG compliance, and engagement with farmers & village Environmental Committees.1/2
🌱High-quality land restoration doesn’t come from manuals alone.
It grows through experience, mentoring, and shared problem-solving in the field. That’s why #RestoreLocal is supporting a peer-to-peer learning exchange in the Lake Kivu & Rusizi landscape.
Today, the Executive Director represented IPFG at the Climate, Environment & Natural Resources Sector Working Group (SWG/MoE).
An honor to engage with govt, partners, CSOs & private sector in shaping policies & investments for sustainability & climate resilience in Rwanda.
In 2024, NAP empowered 2,350 farmers in Nyamagabe & Nyaruguru with 224,672 climate-resilient seedlings . Village committees trained farmers, restored degraded lands, and boosted livelihoods. Community-driven agroforestry is building a greener, climate-smart Rwanda! #Agroforestry https://t.co/NtPZW4HfZx
